Pre-University Programs through Office of Continuing Education and Conferences at University of South Carolina offers youth programs for academically talented and gifted students in grades 5-12. These educational adventures allow students to explore future professions, refine skills in the performing arts, experience student life on a university campus and take courses and be exposed to facilities and laboratories not generally offered in local schools. Carolina Master Scholars presents Adventure Seriesfor rising 6th - 12th graders. Join academically talented middle- and high-school students, like you,from across the country for some serious fun this summer with great new courses, and the return of many favorites. Innovative one week sessions will be offered in small classes, taught by some of USC's most renowned faculty. Acceptance is considered selective, and enrollment in each course is limited. Courses and application will be available January 2, 2015.
University of South Carolina offers Duke TIP Programs: Duke TIP Scholar Weekends & Duke TIP Academic Adventures on our beautiful campus in Columbia! Both programs are open to academically talented students who have participated in the Duke TIP Talent Search or in the Carolina Master Scholars Summer Program.
University Test Prep at USC has a comprehensive test preparation program for high school students preparing for the SAT and ACT tests. USC offers a SAT/ACT Summer Institute, a four day workshop and SAT Blitzes in the fall and spring. Both programs introduce the tests, test taking strategies, and covers mathematical and language portions of both the tests.
