Have fun while you develop and enhance the skills used in making your house a home.
In the course you will create specialty items that can be used for gift giving, holiday parties, and in your home - all while on a budget.
Elizabeth Pou, The HighHeel HomeMaker, will teach:
* Methods for preserving vegetables and fruits and creating bottled gifts
* How to measure, calculate yardage and sew your own custom created soft accent pieces - holiday pillows to placemats
* How to design your own wreath: grapevine, evergreen or magnolia
AND -- the last class will be a festive Holiday Tea to which you can bring guests and show off your hard work!

Elizabeth G. Pou
For more than 25 years, Elizabeth has been a non-traditional artist. Guided by her ability to make things “look pretty” she creates elegant masterpieces from very simple elements. From her decadent desserts to creative fashions, home interiors, and garden designs, she applies her gifts to inspire and instruct others in what she calls “Self Style.” She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and her company is based in Columbia. Among her many accomplishments, she developed the “Heritage Craft Series” which she has taught at local schools and churches; as a cast member on the Turner South DIY design show she put her design skills to the test. Her cakes have won top prizes at the South Carolina State Fair and for the past six years have been served at Gamecock athletic events. She is a member of the University Associates.
