Digital Photography...Basic Image Enhancement with Photoshop
Laptops with Photoshop CS5 will be provided by USC for this introductory class. We will begin with the basics of setting your program preferences and learning the tools and interface. Class projects will include the use of color management, contrast control, cropping, burning, dodging, the clone stamp tool, the lasso tool, adding vignettes, and removing blemishes and imperfections.
This class is intended as an introduction to Photoshop for previous Carolina Classroom Photography students. Digital photographers with a good foundation of the skills of photography are welcome.

Meet the Instructor
John Wrightenberry is an award winning professional photgrapher with over 100 awards recognizing his photographic talent. Graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1987 with a degree in Media Arts, John began his professional photography career shooting freelance assignments and managing Columbia Photo Supply's color, B&W and E6 photo labs. He has taught numerous portrait and lighting classes at professional photography workshops.
Through the years, John studied with some of photography's greatest nationally known talents. His photography experiences and education allows him to create portraits and document weddings that combine traditional methods mixed with fashion and photojournalism. John's work has been published in Professional Photographers of America's Loan Collection, The New York Times, The State, Columbia Metropolitan Magazine, numerous wedding publications, and he is currently the cover story photographer of Columbia Home and Garden Magazine. John was also one of five photographers chosen to document "A Day in the Life of USC" year after year.
John has served as President and Chairman of the Board of The Professional Photographers of South Carolina. He currently serves as one of three appointed South Carolina Counselors for Professional Photographers of America and as School Director of South Carolina's Lamaar Williamson School of Professional Photography.
