Director, Information Technology
Randy Rollings is the Director of Information Technology for Palmetto College. He is the former Assistant Director of Information Technology for Palmetto College and is an alumni of the College of Engineering and Computing at the University of South Carolina.
Randy began his education at the Lancaster campus earning his Associate in Science and transferred to USC Columbia to complete his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, where he earned his degree in 2004.
Having attended a Palmetto College Campus, Randy has first-hand experience with the unique needs of a small campus and their student body.
In his role, Randy oversees the day to day operations of the central Palmetto College Information Technology office and provides support and direction to the Palmetto College Campus Information Technology Offices. Randy works with the Chancellor, Associate Chancellor’s, Directors, and Deans to assess the needs of the College/Campuses and plan for future technology needs. He serves as the liaison between the Palmetto College and the Palmetto College Campuses with the Division of Information Technology, where he represents the college and campuses’ interest in university technology initiatives.
Randy serves on a number of university committees: the Active Directory Oversight Committee, the Data Administration Advisory Committee, and the Carolina Analytics Community of Practice. Randy has previously served as chair of the Network Managers group.
