Important Message

 

Effective 1 April, 2013, students who will be taking classes at Fort Jackson should enter through Gate 2 (Forest Drive gate). You will need to show your driver’s license and a letter from the University of South Carolina Fort Jackson office verifying that you are taking classes at the Fort Jackson campus. You will receive the letter the first night of class. (The gate guards will be aware of when classes begin and will allow you on post the first night.) Please make sure you have your vehicle registration and proof of insurance as well. If you do not have all the required documentation you will not be allowed on post. Also, please be aware that random vehicle searches are being done more often so be prepared. If you have any questions or problems with getting on post please contact the USC Fort Jackson office at 803-782-8810.

From Forest Drive: From main campus, take Taylor Street. The road turns into Forest Drive. Continue for three (3) to four (4) miles, you will see Super Wal-Mart on your right. Continue going straight over the overpass. Once you enter Fort Jackson, go through three (3) traffic lights. Look for the Army Continuing Education Services Center (4600 Strom Thurmond Blvd.) on your right. It is directly across from Burger King.

From I-26, take I-77 towards Charlotte. Take Exit 12. Turn right at the traffic light. Once you enter Fort Jackson, go through three (3) traffic lights. Look for the Army Continuing Education Services Center (4600 Strom Thurmond Blvd.) on your right. It is directly across from Burger King.

From I-20, take I-77 towards Charleston. Take Exit 12. Turn left at the traffic light. Continue going straight over the overpass. Once you enter Fort Jackson, go through three (3) traffic lights. Look for the Army Continuing Education Services Center (4600 Strom Thurmond Blvd.) on your right. It is directly across from Burger King.
