If you are a prospective student with little or no prior college experience, an associate’s degree program is the ideal starting point. USC Fort Jackson offers two SOCAD-2 programs, Associate of Arts and Associate of Science.
All course work can be completed with a combination of on-post and online classes. Credits earned toward an associate’s degree can be applied to a four-year program at USC and are transferable to most other colleges and universities throughout the United States. A minimum of 15 University of South Carolina semester hours is required. No more than 15 hours of nontraditional credit can be awarded. This includes CLEP, DANTES, and military training and experience from your Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript Systems (AARTS) transcript.
If you are looking for a bachelor’s degree, USC Fort Jackson offers a SOCAD-4 program, a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology. A minimum of 30 University of South Carolina semester hours is required. As part of the 30 semester hours, 50 percent of the major course work must be included. No more than 30 hours of nontraditional credit can be awarded.
