System Affairs and Extended University grants faculty, staff and retirees the right to create personal sites within the limit of available resources and upon yearly request for renewal. Sites will be removed 15 days after active employment ends unless a completed request form is received by IT Support staff. Access and use of these resources is at the discretion of SAEU and must adhere to federal guidelines required by the Rehabilitation Act, Section 508, subsection 1194.22, and standards endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative. This service is provided with an expectation of responsible and acceptable use including content of external sites where links are provided. Individual users assume full legal responsibility for content of their Web pages, and must abide by all applicable University of South Carolina policies as well as local, state, and federal laws, including copyrights.
